Sainsbury's Festive Food

The countdown to the 25th of December is already under way and these are the last 2 weeks before everything that has been planned for nearly a year or maybe less than a month will end in a pantagruelic feast. Sainsbury's has thought of our tables  with an array of delicious food to tempt even who is on a strict diet.
Planning a party or somebody else asked you to bring something for a Christmas party ? With these salmon canapes you are not going to be wrong. They are delicious, they are easy to carry and you just take them out of their boxes and serve them.
The meat counter has got superb cuts of different kind of meat and they can be ordered ahead of the time so that everything that can be stored and freeze will help you in save time for cooking. Trimmings like Brussels sprouts with lardons or red cabbage with cranberry have been already prepared so that you can enjoy a stress free dinner and concentrate on the roast.
I've tasted them and they are delicious, the red cabbage has got the right balance between the cranberry chutney and the port with the aroma of the spices. The Brussels sprouts has been prepared with all British produces from the vegs to the smoked bacon lardons and English butter. Made for the microwave oven they won't be soggy  and they will be ready without the house smelling of cabbage.
Visit the fish counter at Sainsbury's where the fishmonger will give you all the best advises and suggestion on how to prepare a fantastic dish using herbs or other seasonings. Scallops for appetisers and oysters and salmon fillets and seabass will be the perfect choice for a light and sophisticated menu.
Christmas is not the same without the Christmas pudding and now more frequently the panettone, , sometimes both on the same table even without the presence of Italians for lunch. Sainsbury's has found a small artisan bakery in Italy, the Corsini family and together they've developed  the Orange and Cranberry Panettone which is made in Tuscany. A nice selection of Christmas puddings can be found at Sainsbury's together with sauces and brandy butter to serve them at their best.
