Bertoncello Breadsticks and more

In Italy every town has got its own bread. The taste is different, the texture and the ingredients used to bake it. Bertoncello  in the Veneto region bakes its products following recipes that have been used in 60 years of trade of the Bertoncello family. It is possible to find them in UK at the best Italian delis and if you don't just ask for it, who knows the shop you always go might find them appealing and starting order them and I am sure everyone would get addicted to it like I am.
The "Ciabattine" (small slippers) are my favourite, even if it is hard to make up my mind about which one is my favourite.  The Ciabattine are wafer thin and crunchy, perfect on their own while snacking in front of the telly or at a meal. The Olive Oil variety smells and taste like extra virgin olive oil has been just drizzled over them, great for a platter of aged cheese  or while having a carpaccio. The Mediterranean variety is delicious, with its paprika, garlic and hot pepper flavours, I went through a packet while watching "Sex and the City"...pure bliss and the Ciabattine with Black Olives have got a 20% of the stuff, great while eating a piece of Pecorino cheese. There is a variety made with organic Kamut Khorasan wheat in a packaging containing 6 mono dose packets and a whole grain option.
Ricciotti made with Kamut Khorasan organic wheat have got a very delicate taste so perfect for tasty and spicy food. In the Kamut  Khorasan  range Bertoncello has got its signature bread stick called "Polesani" with sunflower oil and extra virgin olive oil.
Polesani are bread sticks with the exclusive Bertoncello recipe for the ciabatta Polesana, a typical ciabatta bread from the same area where the company has got their base. The range has got these bread sticks with olive oil, with green olives, with sesame seeds, made with whole grain, with Kamut wheat and organic with extra virgin olive oil. As you can see the choice is huge with the olive oil and the sesame seeds available in a pack with 6 treat pack perfect for a lunch box.
Guanciotti look like small cushions, they are crunchy and tasty. The olive oil version has got Cervia marine salt which is very famous, it is called the Popes ' salt. When broken they become like spoons, great to be served with soft cheese like cottage cheese or ricotta. Try and dip a Guanciotto in some proper meat and tomato sauce, the real "Ragu", a real treat. The version with poppy seeds and olive oil is very tasty and perfect with all appetisers  and cheese. I gave you some ideas but Bertoncello products are just terrific on their own, a great snack for when at home or at work. Check their website  at www.bertoncellosrl.com and then look for their products in all the best Italian shops. They' ve got an Halal certification as well.
