Moderato 0.0% French Wine launch at Club Soda

The Club Soda, in the heart of Covent Garden at 39 Drury Lane, has hosted the launch of Le Moderato, a French wine with 0.0% alcohol content, and what best than organise a wine and cheese afternoon on the day before Bastille day? In that occasion Sebastien Thomas and Danny Harper came from Paris, loaded with French cheese and baguettes for the lively afternoon.

We could sample all four types of wine produced by Le Moderato. Starting from white, then going with a rose’, a bodily red and a crispy sparkling. Every glass was excellent. The secret? Sebastien love real wine and his family produces cognac, so he knows exactly how a good wine taste. He tested several wines before finding the right balance with the right flavour, crispiness and colour for his alcohol-free production.

We all tucked at the delicious trays where camembert, brie and also vegan cheese from La Fauxmagerie were offered  making some interesting food and wine pairing with the different wines on show.

All the Le Moderato wines are obviously 0.0% alcohol-free, vegan and gluten-free. This is the perfect venue for these excellent products. Club Soda is specialised in low or no alcohol drinks with a huge selection from soft drinks to “spirits”. They have also some spirits at reduced alcohol content if you still want to enjoy the “real thing” but you want something lighter.

Among the drinks on the shelves of Club Soda I have spotted Crodino which is an iconic no alcohol drink from Italy. That would be perfect, mixed with a bubbly like the Le Moderato La Bulle 0 for a great Spritz. Same colour, same taste and no alcohol attached.

At Club Soda you can either visit for stock up on drinks, or you can go there for a mindful drink. There is the bar counter where the bartender will concoct any cocktail or just a glass of nice wine. They also organise events like book launches and tasting session. Check it out and visit at www.joinclubsoda.com
