Christmas Gift Guide: Gifts for Foodie

If you know someone who loves cooking, a nice gift could be something for the kitchen and don't be afraid to think that this person might have already a specific pan or other things. Anything in surplus is always great. Cooking tools are never enough. I have picked some items that can work as a stocking filler or as  a main gift.
Aldi has put on its shelves these two gorgeous tri ply copper pans that are so useful in the kitchen because you can heat things up quickly and also they are just beautiful to look at. They look very professional and the kitchen will looks like some chef's heaven. www.aldi.co.uk
If you know someone who likes colour in the kitchen the kettle with polka dots by Emma Bridgewater for Russell Hobbs will be a perfect gift. Also there is a matching toaster as well as the whole crockery collection including teapot, mugs, cutlery and more. www.emmabridgewater.co.uk
I would love to receive a pestle and mortar set, better if it is in granite or marble because it is easy to clean it up. The granite  set in the picture is by Dunelm and after having seen a celebrity chef using a pestle and mortar to make a very quick pesto sauce I know that it is going to be on my wish list and my shopping list. Dunelm has got this set and also in marble and wood. www.dunelm.com
They are not strictly for the kitchen but I couldn't resist picking these amazing coasters by Lola Rose with a semi precious stone print on them. Even the classic builder's tea will be glamorous if served  using a coaster  like that. They come in set of 2. www.lolarose.co.uk
This is the top top kitchen gadget to receive, actually anything by Smeg will be a beautiful gift. The Dolce and Gabbana Stand Mixer is one of the most useful gadget to have. There are three different accessories, a stainless steel bowl and a plastic lid for the bowl.  Check all the best retailers or the amazing flagship store in Lower Regent Street. www.smeg.com
If you know someone who is a gourmet try with these Waitrose Heritage Ceramic jars with Mustard at Ocado. Once the mustard is gone they are perfect to store rock salt or sugar. Jars are other items that in a kitchen are never enough, so it would make a nice stocking filler for the foodie you might know. www.ocado.com
A pasta colander is the best way to drain your pasta, because if you can use thongs to fish spaghetti out of the boiling water, if you cook short pasta you will need a colander. This one is so nice and it is from the Present Finder. Also great to drain vegetables. www.thepresentfinder.co.uk
Tableware is something that really fascinates me. I have so many dishes and mugs, and bowls and I use them all. This is a set you can build at The White Company to make a nice breakfast set with the Portobello  Stoneware Collection. There are bowls and mugs and dishes and if you want just add a jar of marmalade and a box of tea or coffee to make it complete. www.thewhitecompany.com
Another gift that will make any foodie very happy is a set of oven dishes and trays. Go wild at Anthropologie with ramekins, baking trays and pans that you can put in the oven or on top of the hob  in order to dish something delicious. The neutral colour will be great for any kitchen decor. www.anthropologie.com
We can't leave out a cookery book, but instead of the usual famous I have picked the Cookery Book from the National Gallery restaurant with classic recipes having a make over by the chef Oliver Peyton. There are 100 traditional dishes with a twist, where the freshness of the ingredients is very important. Every recipe is paired with a masterpiece displayed in the Museum. And remember that buying from a museum shops helps supporting it and keeping the entrance free for all. www.nationalgallery.co.uk
