Alcohol Free & Low Alcohol Drinks

It is more and more common to find alcohol free and low alcohol drinks. Either for healthy or religious reasons but also when the designated driver doesn’t need to stick to a cranberry juice all evening and can feel more at easy with a glass of something that resembles a cocktail or a bottle of beer, the choice of these drinks has grown and the quality has improved, like the taste which is very similar if not the same as the original alcoholic drink. I have found quite a good selection of this kind of drinks that now that the weather is getting warmer, it will be great to sip without feeling guilty.

Saicho sparkling teas are the ideal alternative to champagne or prosecco and they are delicious. The one that blown me away was the Jasmine version which is a green tea from Fuding, in Fujian province, scented with jasmine blossoms and it is 0.0% alcohol free. If you try it once you will be hooked. www.saichodrinks.com

Days Brewing Co was born during lockdown in Scotland and now it produces Lager and Pale Ale in cans and bottles with a 0.0% of alcohol. Apart from the beer which is exceptional, what I like from the two founders of Days Brewing Co, is that they give 2%, which is the Duty that alcohol companies pay the government as tax, to organisations which empower fresh thinking towards mental health. www.daysbrewing.com
