Pizza Rossa

I want to open my new food blog with the opening of a take away pizza place which is so delicious that once you've sampled its products you won't manage to go anywhere else for your lunch break. Pizza Rossa at 4-12 Whittington Avenue London EC3V 1AB just round the corner with Leadenhall Market opened few weeks ago bringing to London the square slice of pizza, something that has been forever in the Italian way of eating a slice of pizza on the go.
I went to the Press Evening Event a day before opening and I've sampled a really delicious slice of pizza with a fantastic topping. Every day 8 to 10 different toppings will be available at Pizza Rossa, from the plain red tomato that gives the name of the place to the most creative ones with rocket, ham, cherry tomatoes, tuna or artichokes or courgettes, obviously not all of them on one pizza but I can assure you that the menu is very tempting.
This is just an example of what the "pizzaioli" at Pizza Rossa can rustle up, using all fresh ingredients sourced from the best suppliers, a  vegan dough that contains low levels of gluten, yeast and salt making it more digestible and with no sugar at all. The price starts from £ 2.95 up to £ 3.95 for a more elaborated topping.
This is the classic counter where in Italy everyone goes for a slice of pizza take away and from the crowd you can see that Pizza Rossa has got already a fan base among the city workers. This branch in Whittington Avenue will be a pop up for at least 5 months but already the creative minds behind Pizza Rossa are already looking at new premises for two permanent branches in July and in September still in the City.

Tamia Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the oil of choice at Pizza Rossa  when you want to drizzle some of this flavoured wonder on top of your slice of pizza. It comes in 4 different varieties perfect to exalt the taste of vegetables or meat on your topping and it is possible to buy it at the premises. www.oliotamia.com
Pizza Rossa is not only about pizza, a counter with hot dishes like lasagna, vegetarian lasagna or aubergine parmigiana, just to name a couple of main courses on the menu, will serve delicious hot food in practical take away trays. I've sampled the lasagnas, they are to die for.

Courgettes, buffalo mozzarella and tomato, another topping ready to be served at Pizza Rossa. Open Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 8 pm it will be the breakfast place of choice with a range of pastries and the best Kimbo espresso coffee and the last stop before going home with a tray full of slices in different toppings perfect to be re heated at home in the oven for a different meal, in case you did not have time to stop at lunch time due to the daily huge queue.
